Booking Dress Appointments

Tips before you buy!

  • Come ready to buy. We typically only have one of each dress we stock, so if you fall in love, be ready to buy. It could be gone if you try to come back. That means bring your parents or guardians . We just hate when someone falls in love with a gown and it’s gone when they come back.

  • It helps you to have eaten, brushed your hair, and wear a little makeup and undergarments to see your best self. Instead of rolling out of bed at the last minute. We are the one stop shop, we have a great selection of shoes, jewelry, and other accessories that we will pull for your best look!

  • On Saturdays and school holidays please be prepared to wait for dressing rooms and at the register. We try to take care of everyone in a timely fashion, but we work by appointments. Therefore you NEED AN APPOINTMENT! Also be considerate of the person shopping after you by not coming in late, and by finishing your appointment within the designated hour. Make sure you’ve packed your patience for a busy day. We want to make your day special, and sometimes that takes a little time.

  • Prom dresses are made differently than that cool pair of designer jeans.. The beads and fabric can be VERY delicate. Be careful when trying on your favorite dresses. That perfect ring from your boyfriend or the trendy necklace your best friend gave you can snag the fabric and ruin that perfect dress. Everyone wants that perfect glow before summer gets here. But please wait to go tanning until after you try on dresses. Lotions and spray tan can stain dresses very easily! Plus if you find your dress first, you’ll know just how tan you should get before the big day!

  • Please understand that we do not offer a return policy at Merle Norman. Due to the cost and delicate nature of dresses most stores have a strict return policy. Please make sure you understand your stores policy before completing your purchase. It helps keep everyone happy, happy, happy.

  • 1. **Immediate Gratification:** When you shop in a physical store, you can see, touch, and try on dresses immediately. There's no waiting for shipping, which is especially advantageous if you need a dress for a specific event or occasion.

    2. **Try Before You Buy:** Trying on dresses in person allows you to see how they fit and whether they flatter your body shape. This can help you make more informed decisions about your purchase.

    3. **Personal Assistance:** In physical stores, you can receive personalized assistance from salespeople who can offer styling advice, suggest alternatives, and help you find the right size and fit.

    4. **Quality Inspection:** You can closely inspect the dress for quality, fabric, and craftsmanship before making a purchase, which can help you avoid disappointment.

    5. **Support Local Businesses:** Shopping in local boutiques or shops supports the local economy and can provide a unique shopping experience.
